What is SBTO?

The Borders wide tenants' representative group - ideally made up of members from all the Borders local groups. The remit of SBTO is to seek, represent and take forward tenants views in relation to SBHA Policies and Procedures and to ensure tenants get the best possible housing service.

Tenant Participation

Tenants have been involved in their housing service since 1996 and had a great deal of input into the creation of Scottish Borders Housing Association.

The Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 states that Landlords must have a tenant participation strategy and this gives tenants a greater say in their housing service. Tenant Participation is an ongoing process and there is always a need to involve new tenants.
